Recount Writing-I went to the Park

WALT add details to help our readers understand our story.

I also added interesting words, talking, similes, feelings and thoughts.

I went to the park.

On Sunday afternoon my family and I went to the park in Kaikohe to have fun.

I felt pumped to play on the park.

When we got to the park I saw lots of people. I said, “ Hmmm what should I play on first?”

The first thing I did at the park was to play on the swing. I felt happy and good.

Next I went to play on the slide. I said, “Wow I am going so fast.” I felt super happy.

After that I went to play on the swing again. I felt good.

At Rugby.

On Saturday morning me and my mum and my dad went to Rugby in Kawakawa and it was my  Rugby game. I felt happy and excited.  

When I got to my Rugby game I got changed.

After I got changed I went out on the field. VJ was already on the field. I said to VJ, “Are you ready to play?” VJ said, “Yes.” I felt keen to play rugby.

Then my rugby game started. The Kawakawa team had the first kick. I had the first run. Then VJ ran it up. then my team lost the ball I was ruining my fastest but I could not get him. Then the Kawakawa team kicked the ball off to my team then VJ ran it up that time then I got the ball and I ran it up. Then VJ  got the ball and past the ball to Ady. then I got the ball again and then the game was finished. After the game my team and I went for a shower. After that my team and I got dry. Then I got changed. After my team and I finished getting changed it was time to go for a kai. After I went home. When I got home I went to bed.

It was a cool day.
